Brisbane - day 69
By this time we both felt quite tired so decided to get a bus home. On the way though we had to buy a jar of pesto as a back up dinner plan because we'd foolishly forgotten to put the meatballs in the fridge overnight. Woe is us. Using our go cards kindly given to us by Jennifer, we hopped on the bus. However the driver didn't stop at our stop and we had to walk ages to get back. Once home, Eloise made some spaghetti with pesto for dinner, which we had with some bread. I felt particularly peckish after dinner so had some cereal and some crackers too. 22:47 - in bed writing the blog, Eloise is watching tv on her phone. Goodnight ❤

07.04.17 Went to a man made beach in the heart of Brisbane with the temperature around 25 degrees ☀️. However even with the gorgeous weather I didn't catch a tan! 😞 We also tried the 'famous' Australian Goon today (boxed wine) which is vile. I'm not a big fan of wine anyway but I suppose it'll have to do as I the cost of a 6 pack of cider ranges from around $17-$20 Step count - 8724

Ride to Brisbane - day 68
Later on, we ventured out to the nearest supermarket and bought some food for the next few days. Prices here are much higher than Byron bay and even Sydney, to some extent. Can you believe a three pack of peppers was $7? Well, we stuck to our list, not daring to stray for fear of having to extend our overdraft ha. When we came back we made dinner, a delicious feast of meat balls with spaghetti! A triumph! The rest of the evening was spent relaxing. Oh before I forget to describe it, the place we're staying in feels like a converted outhouse/ extension. It's very cosy and has so many handy things - most notably some gorgey hair conditioner which has revived our frazzled manes no end! Adios for now faithful readers!

Brisbane w/ Tom
Breakfast and coffee at outside mall Walked to pier and took water taxi - very easy and cheap! Stopped for a beer on way to koala sanctuary Koala sanctuary. So many great animals. Dingos, parrots, kangaroos, wombats, owls, and tons of koalas. Koala kindergarten was amazing. Held one for some rip off price but worth it Dinner back in town (Italian/good pizza) then back to the Pokies! I won $150 on the first play (panda game!)
