Great journey to Manchester airport - thanks Gautam for tip on route. Through security and straight onto the Gin 🤪🤪 Arrived at our “dream by the sea- Ca Di Pess” accommodation in Cinque Terre. Not for the faint hearted as very narrow path and steep steps. Fun coming back in the dark after a couple of drinks 🍸 Photos are at Riomaggiore where we went for the evening. We loved the posh fish and chips shop in the picture, reminded us of Whitby but posher. Ian disappeared for 30 mins to find tonic for the gins later 🤪🤪 Very late start as rain forecast all day 😩 we thought we’d drive down to la Spezia rail station and tour the cinque Terre by train without hassle of trying to park. However car park full at station with long queue 😂😂
After 30 mins of “park finding” in la Spezia decided to head to Riomaggiore, only to get there to be told parking full 🤣😬
Still laughing about it we drove to Manarola and find a tiny little parking spot (if that’s what you call it) and had a lovely walk into Manarola where pictures are taken and sun came out.
Wine tasting evening tonight hic hic 🤪
Manarola as seen is just beautiful. Had lunch overlooking harbour. Amazing bruscheta and Sam loved the anchiovy salad 🥗 😁😁
Ian decided we needed to hike right to top of the vineyards on Manarola (off the beaten track) and it was an amazing view after we found the defib ❤️🤣 Just leaving for Lucca, what a view. Sun decided to come out ☀️
Paste it somewhere!
