😮✨
Due to unfortunate events, I drank too much soju last night. I was not completely aware of what happened. I just woke up and saw myself in Joseon era! Otteoki?!

🍃✨
I walked aimlessly. The king saw me and asked how I entered the main royal palace. He was not pleased when I answered, "I walked through the open door." So dumb, this king. But as a commoner, I let him talk more because it might put my life on the line; I don't want that. I forgot what he was talking about. I was too distracted by his mustache and beard. The royal advisor appeared and talked to him so I got the chance to leave!

🏯✨
I escaped...briefly.
The king saw me again. It's his palace, of course. He was in good mood so he really not care about a commoner visiting the area. Apparently, his birthday was approaching. He said he would let me roam around as long as I offer a helping hand.
I said, "Okay. I got you, fam."
His eyebrows furrowed so I asked him where to start.
He pointed me to the grandest building in the palace, the Geunjeongjeon Hall. The name means, "All affairs will be properly managed if the king demonstrates diligence." It's so beautiful.

💂🏼✨
I wanted to help in preparing for the king's birthday but I was useless. So, I did what I am good at: procrastinate.
I looked around and saw these royal guards changing shifts. Look at how strict their ceremonial procedures were executed and how precise their movements were.
I tried to befriend a royal guard but he was too serious and busy...guarding.

💃🏻✨
I think this Joseon era won't work for me. The lavish palace amazes me but I got tired of seeing its vicinity throughout the day. Is 'palace burnout' a thing already? If not, you heard it first here...or read.
I heard from a servant that the king retired to his room to sleep. So, I sneaked out and strolled to see the Bukchon Hanok Village. It's a nice neighborhood.

👯
As I tried to get back to the main palace, I got lost and entered the Eastern palace instead! I met a friend here.

🍵✨
I managed to get back to the palace. The people were preparing for a feast. The delicious smell of food roasting from coals was strong. Right then, I felt my hunger. I stealthily went to get food and helped myself with some royal ginseng tea. As I took another bite, someone shouted, "YAH!" Apparently someone noticed me. I took off and ran.

😨✨
I caused a massive disturbance to the palace.

You got the picture.

I was planning to overthrow the kingdom until this scenery calmed me. I remember that I did not need to be here.

✌🏼😉✨
I'm leaving the palace of the royal family. Too much rivalry and politics! Also, the palace was spacious. My feet hurt and I'm so out of shape to walk to and fro. The 7,000 rooms did not help as I can't remember where I should be staying. So, PEACE OUT!
