Ahhh it is so cold in the night. Airport queue was mad long and i think we spent >1h in there before boarding bus to the car rental place then took another 40min drive to reach the hotel. Had macs bfast at 1am tho and a very good milky hot choc :)) Came all the to USA to visit her in time for her 21st bday, to realise that actually she kinda alr has most of the stuff under control. Which is great :)
The restaurant we ate in really needs some more light tho I could barely see what I was eating hmm. Much sus. Jk the food was overall really good esp the chocolate mousse !!!!! Was madness.
Paramount Studio Tour was quite cool we explored the BTS of some sets and scenes. I think it was too draggy tho I got real bored real quick.
Check out the Grammy awards you can buy in Lalaland (the awesome souvenir store with a TOILET), and the Best Boyfriend award haha. Will I actually rmb my inside jokes few years later LOL.
And the top left building has apparently been featured in so many movies hahah much 5 seconds of fame x many pairs of eyes but still only 5 secs long hmm.
Palm trees in Hollywood make the sky really pretty. When the sun set today the palm trees and the background of the sky was rly postcard worthy, pity that we were stuck in the car cos of the bad traffic.
Honestly I thought the highlight of the day would be David Copperfield but no i spent 6h in the car... I SAW DAVID COPPERFIELD LIVE. Okay jk I wasnt that excited to watch him but it was very cool to be in the same room as the man I've watched on tv in pri school (altho my lack of patience made me skip the waiting parts and go straight to where the stuff disappears and appears again at some random spot). He has quite good showmanship tho, I'll give him that. But somehow I just know that behind all that magic is great physics and engineering and a lot of staged work so hmmmm I guess I'm too serious to be entertained by magic haha gahh
And also Jabbawockeez?! Didnt watch them but it never occurred to me that I would see their stuff in Las Vegas somehow haha. And also pic of me cos I finally wore that shirt that I didnt bring to Sweden and anywhere else heh. Thanks for the bday gift if you ever read this, you know who you are!
Check this Hoover Dam out. Completed in 4 Years, 6 companies, many sacrifices. But wow what an amazing piece of engineering work. I think I'm gonna remember this for Dam long ;)
Kinda reminds me of the things I wanted to do when I signed up for NUS engin. Yea back when I had no clue about engin and how well (or not so well) i would do in it, except really cool structures and machines like these which kinda shape and change the world one step at a time. But ok my engin story shall be for another place not here :)
Gahh much greatness in the world and look how sm0l i am in the world haha I love how there's so much out there. One of the things I would save money for is to get to see more of stuff like these. How to get this view if not on a plane right. How to whale watch (haven't done it yet but it's on my unlisted bucket list) if you can't travel to the right places right. ❄🌍👀Snowglobe Perpective!!!
Good to have a sis that dances and has much energy to drag me to dance whee
Was gonna post this on ig but everyone is flooding it with 2019 posts so hmmmm maybe later.
Flew up above Grand Canyon!! The pictures are more for memories for my single child trip which has been quite... interesting hmm HAHA
Been secretly craving for sashimi these few days and wew got a few slices of tunaaaaaaa today at Miyako 😋 Monterey Bay🦀🐠🐟🐡🦑
Top left is a legit 🦑 ahh such a lazy bit fat blob. I swear this aquarium is the weirdest I've been too, defo will remember this one :')) And I touched a stingray!!! It was so soft and silky omo.
17-Mile Drive 🛤🚗
There was this long stretch of road with a lot of photo stops. The scenery was gahhh loveeeee 😍 This trip made me realise that I really love nature/view trips - hiking, beach, sky, rocks, mountains, grass. Just like the beaches and cycling in Bali and the scenery on top of hills in Italy.
And also potential dp?
THE LONELY TREE🌳
Drove thru all the pit stops to try to get to this one before the sun set too much. 250 years old tree going on 300. I think I'm lonelier than this tree pls why don't ppl drive 17 Miles to see me 😭 Lowkey emo.
Papa drove the car nearer to shine the headlights so that we could take better pics but hur they all failed hur. The best pic was taken when we first realised someone had their headlights on so Papa just snapped one photo with that lighting of mummy and I. Nice shot haha but the pic is still with him so Im not putting it here haha oops. Trust me when I say the photo is nice.
Golden Gate Bridge! Timely reminder on the right 😎
